The head of Russian diplomacy called on the US to abandon its `irresponsible` plan to overthrow Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuela’s opposition leader considers asking the US to intervene
Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido considered asking the US for military intervention.
In an interview with BBC on May 5, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido said he was considering asking the US to deploy military intervention in Venezuela after the opposition’s uprising plan failed.
Mr. Guaido believes that the support from the US for him is `unequivocal`.
US officials announced last week that they would continue to support the opposition, `standing on the side of the Venezuelan people`.
However, speaking to reporters on May 3, President Trump said he has no intention of letting the US military get involved in the Venezuela situation.
