That is the opinion of Senator Bernie Sanders, former opponent of Mrs. Clinton in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, in an article in the New York Times surrounding the 2016 presidential election and the future.

Workers’ anger

Millions of Americans voted to protest on November 8, expressing strong opposition to a political and economic system that puts the interests of corporations and the rich above their own.

I was sad, but not surprised, by the election results.

Working families see politicians accepting financial support from billionaires and corporations and thereby ignoring the needs of ordinary Americans.

American workers cannot afford quality and expensive child care for their children.

President-elect Trump is right: Americans want change.

Will he have the courage to take on Wall Street, take action to break up giant financial institutions and demand that big banks invest in small businesses and create jobs in rural and rural areas?

I am saddened to hear stories of Americans being threatened and harassed following Trump’s victory, and I hear the cries of families living in fear of separation.

Must be the party of workers, the elderly and the poor

I will be open to see what ideas Mr. Trump brings forward, when and how we can work together.

Let’s rebuild our failing infrastructure and create millions of good-paying jobs.

In the coming days, I will also release a series of reform plans to reinvigorate the Democratic Party.

As my presidential campaign ended, I pledged to my supporters that the political revolution would continue.

Peaceful
