It’s true that anything can happen in this world.
That tragic story happened to 27-year-old bride Kayley Stead from Swansea (UK).
However, the night before the wedding, while Kayley was in an AirBnB celebrating with her bridesmaids, the groom and his groomsmen were having fun near the venue.
Kayley choked up: `The family knew in advance but they hid my phone. They also waited to see if he really left before scaring me.
But I found my phone and had a missed call from his mother.
Within hours, I said he would be there.
Kallum’s father later called to say that his son was definitely not showing up.
At this point, Kayley felt extremely lonely.
Despite the lack of a groom, everything for the wedding was complete, from costumes, meals, speeches, dances and professional photographers.
Kayley decided to still have the wedding and entered the wedding ceremony alone, without paying attention to the groom.
`I made that day a day that I will always be proud of. I can actually look back on it and smile because it reminded me that I don’t need someone else’s love to be happy,` she said.
The bride then continued to apply makeup, urging everyone to regain their mood to attend the party.
`I spent all my money on this day, looking forward to food or dancing with my dad. So I can turn it into a gathering day for my family, why not?`, she thought to herself.
She also said she did not want to remember that day with sadness.
Immediately, the bride’s sister called the groomsmen and told them to go to the wedding venue and join the party.
So at the risk of an event turning into `devastating`, it became more beautiful thanks to a different organization.
Instead of having the first dance with the groom, the bride danced with her father Brian 71 years old, brothers Craig 47 years old, Matthew 46 years old, Gary 46 years old and a brother also named Craig 43 years old.
She even punched the wedding cake because it reminded her of Kallum.
She shared: `I always dreamed of dancing with my dad at my wedding. The groomsmen also happily joined the party and I want to thank them for staying. They didn’t run away, I completely understand.`
It is true that how bad a thing is depends on our thoughts and actions.
