There is a definition called the `butterfly effect`, which basically means that when making any change, no matter how small, the results or consequences it brings will be extremely large.
For gamers who have been with League of Legends since the early days, everyone will have to admit that, although Riot has made many `underground` edits, there is one change that can be said to have an overall impact.
Old Mastery Table and Rune system
For Vietnamese LoL gamers, it is often difficult for us to remember the name of the gem table, but instead, we will call it by color: red gem, purple gem, green gem and yellow gem.
In the past, gamers who wanted to upgrade their Gem pages could use the IP (Influence Point – roughly translated as Fame Points) accumulated after each win to buy their own Support Gems or gem pages.

New players certainly cannot access the old Board and Rune system as well as gamers who have had a long time to prepare.
Therefore, Riot was forced to act immediately.
With the new system, players are completely free to create their own unique playing styles, with the condition that they can accept 4 reports if they unfortunately lose.
On the other hand, new players can more easily access the game and thereby contribute to helping League of Legends develop more widely.
Riot has released countless updates and tweaks to its game, however, it cannot be denied that the changes to Boards and Runes are one of the biggest reasons why Riot’s game has become a success.
